  14.   Xena,  who  is played by 'Lucy Lawless' started out as a Villain  in  the  tv  
  15. series  Hercules,  But she was only starring as a guest role and then with  the  
  16. ratings  going up each time Xena was featured,  its was obvious that  Xena  was  
  17. soon  to  have  her own tv series.  In hercules she  was  a  very  bloodthirsty  
  18. conqueror  who  sought  to  subdue as much as the  countryside  as  she  could.  
  19. Hercules  helped  Xena to turn her back on her evil past and now she  seeks  to  
  20. pay  for  her crimes by helping others,  by travelling the countryside  in  the  
  21. ancient time's with her bubbly and very talkative sidekick Gabrielle.  Xena has 
  22. great strength and indeed many superhuman abilities such as being able to  leap 
  23. into the air and stay airborne while kicking the Crap out of the wrong  do'ers, 
  24. thats the bad guys to anyone else. She can handle many weapons with great ease, 
  25. but the most useful weapon of all has to be her Chakram...

  27.   Her  bleak  history  sets  the  tone  for  the  series  and  establishes  the  
  28. personality  for Xena,  who rarely smiles but sets about her life as one  on  a  
  29. serious  mission.  The series,  however has a fair amount of  humour  primarily  
  30. because  of Xena's sidekick 'Gabrielle,  Played by Rennee O'Connor.  She  is  a  
  31. talker  who  loves to tell stories but in later episodes Xena starts  to  learn  
  32. her to fight in her own way with her own weapon the Staff,  Gabrielle stands by  
  33. her  morals and her policy of not killing anyone but Xena will and she  can  do  
  34. this very easily.  Xena's past has a way of coming back to her in many episodes 
  35. and  this greatly adds to the show and with the great acting by both  Xena  and  
  36. Gabrielle,  the show is well liked by many 'Sword & Sorcery' fans,  who like to  
  37. see the various myths and historical events that are evident in every episode.

  40. Gabrielle,  You can read all about in Xena's future.  If you haven't even  seen 
  41. one  episode  of Xena which i find hard to believe,  then try and watch  a  few  
  42. episodes,  you won't be disappointed in what you see.  She can definitely  look  
  43. after  herself and the humour is very strong,  there are plenty of  character's  
  44. within  the  series,  some good and the others are there purely  for  the  evil  
  45. element and so i look forward to watching the next season.
